Tips for a family session

  1. You are always the boss, but I promise you I have studied lighting, poses and my camera. I know what my camera is best at and I want to make sure the lighting isn't making you squint or my camera work overtime. I will always ask for your input, but I may have you stand 2-3 feet forward/backward/over to capture the BEST lighting!
  2. Wrinkles! They are the enemy of the photographer. If you can, please try to de-wrinkle your family. It makes my editing time much less! And, I can get your photos back home to you sooner!
  3. Toddlers and Little People. Let's go with the flow. I know, I have one... this is easier said that done! But, once the tears start, SOMETIMES it is incredibly hard to recover.
  4. Be you. Movement and posed photos alike will be captured. But the REAL JOY is when your kid is climbing/running/or maybe even tackling you.
  5. These are the real smiles you want!
  6. Give your kid a break of following directions!
  7. Enjoy it! Taking photos does NOT have to be a job. Make it fun. Go with the flow. If you see a dream spot/photo/or Pinterest pose you want, we can try it (almost always).
I am here to make these photos you will cherish.
Thank you for choosing me to capture your family.
